How do I get surfing sponsors?
Well I’m a longboarder living in San Clemente and I want to get a sponsorship. I place in the finals in my contests and I think that I am good enough to get a sponsor, the only problem is that I don’t know how to get one. Could someone please give me advice on how to go about getting sponsors?

Aloha Aquaman7, to start off with go small, ask the local surf shop for free tees to wear at the contest, or up and coming sharpers for boards at cost or no cost, the local pizza parlors that sponsors little league to sponsor you free pizza, there logo on your board or the by your board shorts they can put there name on your rash guard, start with a place that sell sun glasses like sun glass hut the advertise on your board rash guard or what ever and you wear there glass and they sell oaks or arnetts what evers ask your parents companies. Aloha and good luck

Put together a video of your surfing, edit all of your best parts and send it in to a company of your choice (start small, local) along with a list of your top results. Throw in some pictures too. Also, send a short letter explaining yourself (other hobbies, personality, grades if you are in school). Good luck bra!
You could try listing yourself of http://www.SponsorPark.com. It’s an online marketing tool designed to bring together sponsors and sponsorship opportunities. The site walks you through the process of setting up a proposals and then lists it on the site for interested sponsors to browse.
